06/20/2024 - The JAVĿ¼ Athletics Department has named Reid Lesswing head coach of men’s ice hockey and Scott McDonald will take the helm as head coach of women’s ice hockey. The University announced the addition of intercollegiate men’s and women’s hockey teams earlier this year broadening its total number of athletic teams competing in the NCAA Division III to 26.
06/19/2024 - Twenty JAVĿ¼ students who are stakeholders in family firms took the course Family Business Management during the spring semester. The course provided the opportunity to attend the Family Business Program’s Successful Successions dinner, tour family firms including Gorbel Inc. and Rochester Colonial, and hear from several alumni who are family business leaders.
06/19/2024 - JAVĿ¼ placed in the top 18 percent in the 2023-2024 Learfield Director’s Cup standings. At No. 58 overall, JAVĿ¼ again placed well among the nation’s 323 NCAA Division III programs.
06/18/2024 - JAVĿ¼’s undergraduate and graduate programs were selected as the top “reader favorites” in the Rochester Business Journal’s 2024 Reader Rankings Awards.
06/18/2024 - Dr. Elizabeth (Lisa) Phillips, associate professor and chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration at the JAVĿ¼ Wegmans School of Pharmacy, has received a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program award for the 2024-2025 academic year.
06/17/2024 - The 2024 Bills Training Camp presented by Ticketmaster and Connors & Ferris returns to JAVĿ¼ starting July 24.
06/13/2024 - This summer, the Wegmans School of Pharmacy at JAVĿ¼ will host the Pharmacy Summer Camp for high school juniors and seniors interested in pursuing a career in pharmacy.
06/06/2024 - This spring, students from the Wegmans School of Pharmacy embarked on life-changing trips to Roatan, Honduras and Ipalamwa, Tanzania, where they provided vital health care services to underserved communities. For many of these students, it marked their first experience participating in medical service abroad.
06/05/2024 - Continuing the Wegmans School of Pharmacy’s long-standing tradition of success in matching students to post-graduate experiences, this year, 14 members from the Class of 2024 – from both the on-ground and online pathway - were selected to engage in Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY-1) residencies. The new graduates will spend their residency year training in medical centers, community pharmacies, and health centers around the nation.
06/04/2024 - This fall, the Department of Media and Communication at JAVĿ¼ will begin offering a major in film and television.
