12/06/2023 - The Office of Student Engagement and Leadership and the Health and Wellness Center are teaming up to deliver a full week of events guaranteed to help students relax, unwind, and de-stress during the Culminating Experiences Week (formerly known as Finals Week).

JAVĿ¼ Flight Plan Takes Off to Boston JAVĿ¼ students in Washington, D.C. during JAVĿ¼ Flight Plan 2023.

12/01/2023 - This April, students will have a unique opportunity that requires a boarding pass, a stack of business cards, and 48 free hours. JAVĿ¼ Flight Plan, an immersive career networking and exploration experience, will once again take off to a new city, and applications are now being accepted through Friday, Jan. 26.

11/29/2023 - This fall, the Family Business Program at JAVĿ¼ has seen an increased interest in its programming for general family business, women-focused events, and opportunities for next generation leaders. Launched in 2018, the program aims to connect family business peers in the Rochester region and beyond.

Media Relations Course Provides Experience with Real-World Client Logo: Ugandan Water Project

11/28/2023 - In collaboration with The Ugandan Water Project (UWP), based in Lima, NY, students in the Media Relations community-engaged learning (CEL) course spent the fall semester applying course content in order to help promote a live music event happening this December.

11/24/2023 - A shared passion for health care and research brought together an undergraduate from the School of Business and a fourth-year student from the Wegmans School of Pharmacy to work on a project at the University of Rochester’s Wilmot Cancer Institute.

Wegmans School of Nursing, Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Host Turkey Drive Members of the Wegmans School of Nursing and Mt. Olivet Baptist Church packed Thanksgiving baskets for families in Rochester.

11/23/2023 - An ongoing partnership between the Wegmans School of Nursing and Mt. Olivet Baptist Church helped provide more than 50 families in Rochester with baskets including a turkey and items for a complete Thanksgiving meal.

Seward Scholarship Awardee has Passion for Film Gianna Giglio

11/22/2023 - JAVĿ¼ senior Gianna Giglio ’24 was recently awarded the 2024 Seward Scholarship, given by the Department of Media and Communication. The scholarship honors former faculty member Jim Seward and his 41 years of college teaching, over half of which were spent at JAVĿ¼.
