AP, IB, and CLEP Scores (Credit By Examination)

JAVĿ¼ recognizes AP, IB, and CLEP scores. The following information outlines how these scores translate to credits.

Transfer Credit

In recognition of the college-level coursework being completed at the high school level, JAVĿ¼ will consider granting credit for any coursework in which a student earns a grade of "C" or better. Once we have received the official college transcript, JAVĿ¼ will evaluate all credits on a case-by-case basis.

Pharmacy Transfer Credit

The Wegmans School of Pharmacy will accept AP, IB, and CLEP credits for certain courses towards the fulfillment of the pre-pharmacy requirements. The Wegmans School of Pharmacy will not accept AP, IB, and CLEP credits for fulfillment of the science courses (chemistry, biology, or physics) of the pre-pharmacy requirements.

AP Exams

JAVĿ¼ recognizes the Advanced Placement (AP) Program and will grant standing and credit for courses in harmony with the curriculum to students who complete the Advanced Placement Test with a score of 3 or higher. Generally, a score of 4 or higher is required on exams in biology, chemistry, computer science, U.S. history, modern languages, physics, and world history.

Through CLEP subject tests, individuals can earn credit and advanced academic standing in areas that conform to the curriculum at JAVĿ¼ if they earn a minimum score of 50. Credit is not awarded for the CLEP General Exams.
