Health and Wellness Center
The Health and Wellness Center provides compassionate, high-quality medical and mental health services, and wellness education to students. In promoting wellness, we also serve as a health and medical resource for the campus community.
All current students have access to confidential care, appointments, and consultative services. We will do our best to ensure that your needs are met, whether through our campus providers or referrals to off-campus services as needed.
We provide free and confidential mental health services and resources to JAVĿ¼ students.
Wegmans Pharmacy provides prescription delivery services to the Health and Wellness Center at JAVĿ¼.
Our team can help address a wide variety of medical concerns and connect you to local providers.
Visiting the Health and Wellness Center
The Health and Wellness Center is the medical and counseling office for students. We are located on campus in the Wegmans School of Nursing building. As licensed professionals with experience working with college students, the staff at the Health and Wellness Center can help to address a wide variety of medical, mental health, and personal concerns.
To ensure we are prepared to provide you with the best possible care when visiting the Health and Wellness Center, we use an online patient portal (login required) for secure, health-related information and communication.
Responding to an Emergency
Emergencies may arise on campus. An emergency is any situation that requires an immediate response. If you are faced with a situation that requires an emergency response please contact the Office of Safety and Security at (585) 385-8111. The Safety and Security team is best prepared to respond and decide next steps.
If your emergency is on campus, contact Safety and Security (585) 385-8111. You can also call 911. Generally 911 will contact Safety and Security for an additional on campus response.
If you are off campus and have an emergency please contact 911.
If you are having thoughts of suicide and/or a mental health emergency, contact Safety and Security at (585) 385-8111 (on campus), contact 911 (off or on campus), or the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at either 988 or 1 (800) 273-8255.
All counseling and medical records are kept confidential and cannot be released to outside parties without written permission or consent, except as required by law.
