When you minor in a language at JAVĿ¼, you benefit from individualized attention and a high level of participation, made possible by small classes and dedicated faculty. Classes are offered in Spanish, French, Italian, and ASL. Combine a language minor with your academic discipline in the natural and social sciences, education, nursing, business, humanities, and arts.
A minor in languages and cultures is flexible and can be built around your personal and professional interests. The program complements virtually any major at JAVĿ¼. It consists of 18 credits and students can choose one of two tracks: multiple languages or a single language.
Throughout the curriculum, you will actively use the language you are studying as part of the minor. You will also gain critical awareness of cultural variations and issues in world civilizations and global regions where the language is spoken.
