M.S. in Inclusive Adolescence Education
Dual certification as a teacher is just 21 months away when you choose to enroll full-time in the master’s degree program in inclusive adolescence education at JAVĿ¼.
The inclusive adolescence education graduate program will qualify you for initial certification in an adolescence education content area in grades 5-12, as well as certification to teach students with disabilities as a generalist. Certification is available in the following content areas:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Earth Science
- English
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Social Studies
This program is available to graduates from any bachelor's level major. No matter what undergraduate degree you hold, you are encouraged to apply!
Program Overview
The curriculum is divided into five semesters worth of full-time study. You will take classes focusing on the nature of inclusive education and teaching courses specific to your chosen content area. Included in the 42 credit hour program are 150 hours of clinical experience and 14 weeks of student teaching.
The program is offered in a combination of hybrid and online classes. Convenient scheduling enables you to work in full-time positions while enrolled in the program.
The curriculum for this program is certified by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
