Goal 2.1

Improve Academic Student Success

Support student success in a comprehensive manner from orientation to graduation to improve pre- and post-graduation success metrics.

  • Expand opportunities for students to engage in a variety of experiential learning and other High Impact Practices including international education, internships, capstone experiences, and student research.
  • Evolve and operationalize a student success framework that brings together the broad array of academic support services provided to all populations of students. Analyze retention, graduation, and employment data to continuously improve and build on current strengths.
  • Adopt a course marking system that provides information about course material costs to inform registration decisions and a transparent process ahead of registration.

Goal 2.2

Maximize Co-Curricular Learning

Optimize student learning outside of the classroom by supporting the shared goals of student success and development.

  • Enhance learning opportunities for students participating in academic clubs, organizations, and honor societies through more intentional cross-campus collaborations.
  • Maximize opportunities for out-of-class experiences including residential life programming, intercollegiate athletics, and the arts.

Goal 2.3

Develop Integrated Approaches to Support the Whole Student

Intentionally integrate efforts of enrollment management, and academic, student, and alumni affairs to support the whole student.

  • Enhance efforts to support personal development, wellness education, and financial literacy.
  • Through collaboration among Alumni Relations, Academic Affairs, Career Services, and Student Affairs, create meaningful connections between students and alumni.
  • Through collaboration between Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, develop systematic use of E-Portfolios for the documentation and enhancement of student learning. 
  • Grow programming and support services to enhance graduate student experience for campus-based and online students.
  • Foster the intentional care of students to meet their needs.
  • Implement best practices to strengthen students’ career readiness skills.
